Who We Are

Harvesters Church was established in California as a non-profit organization in response to a divine calling. Our purpose is for the Lord Jesus Christ to reign over the lives of His children, guiding them according to His perfect will toward their celestial purpose and heavenly calling.

We believe that the church is not merely a human gathering, but a living body led by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we strive for Christ to be the true head and active leader of everything we do.

As the Scripture says:

 

“For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.” (Romans 11:36)

Purpose and Calling

We believe that God has specific, divine purposes for each of His children. He calls the church to live a life of fellowship, obedience, and infilling of the Holy Spirit to fulfill His will on earth.

To achieve these purposes, we declare that our church lifestyle and gatherings are built upon:

• Total submission to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

• Dedication to teaching the Word of God.

• Prayer, fasting, and worship.

• Spiritual fellowship among believers.

• Breaking bread and living a life of repentance and sanctification.

Just like the early church:

 

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42)

And we believe that:

 

“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” (Romans 8:14)

Why the Name "Harvesters"?

The name of this church gathering is Harvesters Church because we believe God has an overarching calling for all believers. This begins first by calling sinners to repentance and faith in the Gospel, accepting the work of redemption and salvation, and fully surrendering their lives to the lordship and ownership of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As the Lord said:

 

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” (Matthew 9:37)

Following this, believers join the church community, where the journey of true discipleship begins, shaping them into faithful disciples and followers of the Lord Jesus.

 

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19)

We also believe that the Holy Spirit reveals to each believer their specific calling and spiritual talents to serve the Lord and build up the Body.

 

“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.” (1 Corinthians 12:4)

Furthermore, we believe that all of God's people are called to preach, witness, and participate in the spiritual harvest of souls. A true harvest requires believers who are filled with the Holy Spirit to receive the power needed for witness and ministry.

 

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…” (Acts 1:8)

Our goal is to see a living church, filled with the love of God, leading souls to salvation, and preparing true disciples for Christ, so that God's kingdom may come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

A healthy church consists of believers who are: Saved. Worshipping together. Bound by a unique unity. Characterized by oversight and pastoral care. Continually studying the Word together. Carrying a deep burden to minister to those on the outside.

Our Faith

We believe in one God, God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible, from whom all things come and by whom creation holds together.

 

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

We believe in God the Word, the Lord Jesus Christ, who became flesh for the redemption and salvation of humanity. He bore our sins on the cross and rose from the dead, conquering death, to grant eternal life to everyone who believes in Him.

 

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us…” (John 1:14)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son…” (John 3:16)

We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who dwells within all believers after salvation. He guides, comforts, and sanctifies the church, granting it the power for living, witnessing, and serving.

 

“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)

We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, alive and at work today, filling believers with heavenly power for ministry and confirming the work of God with signs and wonders to draw souls to Christ and gather all in Him.

 

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…” (Acts 1:8)

“Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.” (Mark 16:20)

We believe that God's will is to manifest His kingdom on earth through His church, and that His presence is revealed among believers who seek Him with a sincere heart.

 

“ your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)

We believe that the power of God's kingdom brings salvation to souls, healing to the sick, deliverance to the bound, and declares Christ's authority over the works of darkness.

 

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me… to proclaim good news to the poor…” (Luke 4:18)

We believe the Holy Spirit is working powerfully right now to restore the church—the body and bride of Christ—to the heart and will of God, preparing her for the coming of the Lord and eternal glory.

 

“and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.” (Ephesians 5:27)

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, the complete authority for faith and life, and the divine constitution for God's kingdom on earth.

 

“All Scripture is God-breathed…” (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe that God's will for the believer is continuous growth and transformation into the image of Christ, through a genuine relationship with Him and remaining steadfast in His presence.

 

“And we all… are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory…” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

We believe that the normal life for a true believer is a life of continuous change and spiritual maturity, so that Christ is visible in thought, heart, and conduct.

We believe that God's people, over whose lives Christ reigns, are called to walk according to the likeness of Jesus Christ in holiness, humility, love, and active faith.

 

“Be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16)

We believe in the Church, the bride and body of Christ on earth, which unites all true believers in Christ from various backgrounds and denominations who have been born again through faith in Jesus Christ.

 

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:27)

We also believe in the local church as a place of vibrant worship, teaching, preparation, spiritual growth, and launching out into ministry and witness.

We believe in the spiritual leadership that Christ grants to the church through spiritual gifts and ministries built on grace and heavenly wisdom for the edification of the Body.

 

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets… to equip his people for works of service…” (Ephesians 4:11-12)

We believe in the Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations, tribes, and tongues, so that all of humanity may know the salvation found in Christ.

 

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

And we believe in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, when He will come in His glory to take His church, reveal His eternal kingdom, and judge the world with justice.

 

“And so we will be with the Lord forever.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

We strive to be a church that is prepared, watchful, filled with the Spirit, and faithful to the Lord's calling until His coming.
